Daniel P. Villanueva has been with KSAT 12 since 2003, when he started as an intern.
Villanueva was born in San Antonio and attended Holy Cross High School and St. Mary's University, where he was a sports writer for the campus newspaper, "The Rattler."
Upon graduating with his English/Communication Arts degree from St. Mary's, Villanueva continued his career as a sports producer for KSAT's weekly sports show, "Instant Replay."
Villanueva has taught at his alma mater, started a scholarship for students affected by kidney disease and founded a group that raises funds for local nonprofits.
He is also a TAPB and a Lone Star Emmy award winner.
Villanueva holds a workshop twice a year for high school seniors who wish to pursue broadcast journalism as a career, a workshop KSAT 12 has hosted since 2019.
